All those who applied can be accommodated at all the events for which they applied.

Please bear in mind that the pandemic is not yet over; and some of our members may be relatively vulnerable.  Therefore ...

·        Please carry out a lateral flow test the day before each event.  Lateral flow kits are available free from chemists and pharmacists, and can even be delivered free to your home. 

·        Do not come to any of the events if you are feeling at all unwell with any of the numerous symptoms associated with Covid (including cold-like symptoms).

·        Please respect people’s personal space when inside the RHYC clubhouse or any other indoor venues.

·        Remember to follow normal good practice for hand washing – hand sanitisers are available.

·        We recommend members to wear a face covering when inside the RHYC clubhouse, or other indoor venues.·      

·        RHYC are keeping the Clubhouse well ventilated, so bring suitable clothing!

Friday 18th February

Butt and Oyster, Pin Mill Road, Chelmondiston IP9 1JW

Access from B1456 at Chelmondiston. Signed at end of road. Very narrow lane down to foreshore with passing places. 

Parking at pub is limited. If full, pay and display, approx. 200 m before pub on left as you approach or free car park in Chelmondiston about 1km away and walk down lane (not ideal). Share cars if possible.

Times – 1900 for 1930. Meet in bar and then adjourn to upstairs room. Starters and main courses have been pre-ordered. You can add a sweet from the blackboard later if you so wish. Please can you pay individually for your bill afterwards. 

Saturday 19th February

Sutton Hoo National Trust, IP12 3DJ

Sign posted from A12. Access from B1083 Melton to Bawdsey Road. Well signed.

Meet in car park at gazebo for 1000. Outside areas are on uneven paths, dress appropriately. Polite reminder – the guided tour is £2.50 each regardless of whether you are a N.T. member. Please have some cash on you.

Lunch options – café at Sutton Hoo or alternatively in Woodbridge – several cafes

Longshed

1400 Meet outside the Longshed between Woodbridge Station and the Tidemill on the waterfront. Please do not go inside until we are all gathered.

Location – The Longshed, Tidemill Way, Woodbridge IP12 1FP

Parking options – all £2 for 4 hours – feed the meter (cash or phone) or RinGo

 Woodbridge Station car park IP12 4AU approx. 10 mins walk along waterfront.

Hamblin Road IP12 1BG Walk along road to waterfront by Tide Mill approx. 10 mins

Lime Kiln Quay IP12 1BD Walk along road to waterfront by Tide Mill approx. 20 mins

No formal charge but we suggest a minimum donation of £2.50 a head to go towards the Woodbridge Riverside Trust who manage the Longshed. We will collect this on the day.

The Outlook

Fox’s Marina, Ipswich IP2 8NJ. This is opposite to the Ipswich South Premier Inn for those who have chosen to stay there. Off the B1456, The Strand. Signal left just after you have come off the roundabout. Steep ramp into car park. Ample free on-site parking. Once parked turn towards the buildings and pick up the walking route marked on the paving. This goes round to the left, where you will see The Outlook in front of you facing the marina.

Meet about 1900 with a view to sitting down to eat at 1930. The cost is £18 per head. Please settle your own bills at the bar after the meal. To save any misunderstanding please can you pay for drinks as you go along.

Sunday 20th February

AGM at Royal Harwich Yacht Club

RHYC, Marina Road, Woolverstone IP9 1AT. Access from B1456 from Woolverstone. Sign posted on left – To Marina.

Car park on right at bottom of hill before tight left-hand bend. The clubhouse is straight in front of you.

Coffee on arrival from 1000 in the Ashbury Room.             AGM 1045 start.

For those staying for lunch we have been asked to vacate the Ashbury Room briefly after the AGM so it can be prepared for our meal. You can go into the main clubroom, the marquee, or if it is fine, onto the club lawn. The charge for the two course meal and coffee is £20 per head. The club would be very grateful if you could either pay by cheque (payable to R.H.Y.C.) or by cash. This will be collected by either Anne or Dennis Kell on the day.
