Butley River Rally

High Water at the Orford Haven Bar is circa 16.00hrs  on Saturday 8th July, and in the Butley about 45 mins later. Latest Chart-let for River Mouth is available on the East Coast Pilot downloads website.

Meeting in the Butley for an evening picnic, at say 18.00  (BBQ is not a good idea due to fire risk, especially if its been hot and dry). We can set up close to the Ferry Pontoon, which is accessible at most states of the tide.

Folding chairs /table will be useful 

Suggest anchoring between old dock and the Ferry, deeper water tends to be left of centre, clearly the wind might influence how we lie! 

Please can each boat bring provisions, I am sure there will be opportunity to share if so minded. 

For those are interested, the National Trust run a ferry out to explore Orford Ness, but you do need to book.

Anyone staying over Sunday evening, we normally have Sundowners at the AYC, but there will be no catering.
