Seal 22 Mk 3 Harmony - sail no 252
£3,500

In 1999 the underwater surfaces were grit blasted and then given 5 coats of International Gelshield. At the same time various features were improved substantially above original spec - winches, stainless steel internal mast support, cabin light, new cushions, generous teak rubbing strakes, profiled rudder blade and teak cockpit grating. The lifting keel was also shotblasted and epoxied and the mechanism overhauled.

Surveyor's comment at the time:- "I have watched Harmony's restoration ... only the best materials were used ... the hull can only be described as in new condition."

The RM bespoke galvanised trailer was new in 2009. It has brakes to all wheels, fresh water flushing to all drums and docking posts.

Excellent condition.

Inventory

  • Sails: The mainsail and genoa are serviceable but fairly well worn, the working jib is excellent and the (ex-Dragon) spinnaker perfectly OK.
  • Engine: The 8hp. Suzuki two-stroke is noisy but an excellent 9.8hp Tohatsu two-stroke with "cruising" propeller would be available at extra cost.
  • All the usual: Standing rigging replaced five years ago, Rotostay headsail reefing, spinnaker pole, Danforth anchor and 25m. chain, adjustable mainsheet track, compass, stainless transom boarding ladder, beaching legs, spray hood (a bit knackered), dodgers, mainsail cover, echo sounder, Silva VHF radio, masthead windvane, antenna and navigation light, flush loo with curtain, 2 burner gas stove with grill, crockery and cutlery for 4, warps, fenders and lifebelt.
  • And: Over-boom sun awning, mast raising/lowering device, cockpit cushions, fibreglass mouldings for optional coachroof extension and sliding hatch, winter covers.

Harmony has had very little use over the last few years. Laid up mostly under cover in my front garden since 2013. Sadly, my crew is no longer up to jumping around on the foredeck and I will soon be in the same situation. Harmony is lovely; a complete package and ridiculous value for money.
