Seal 22

Half way through renovation, has sails and mast although the mast is slightly different from the original. Needs finishing and would make a great project over the winter.

The hull has been stripped and refinished with Jotun Epoxy primer (3 coats) So the hard work has been done. This is a bargain for the right person.

The reason for the sale is I have 2 boats and need to focus all my energy on the other. Although I've got to say that I'm gutted to let this one go.

Regarding the mast, this is supposed to have a 28ft fractional mast but they are renowned for breaking, which is what happend to her. The mast I have is a 26ft masthead which is much better quality. The new owner will need to have all the rigging made for the boat but to be honest, a lot of it you can do yourself.

The mast setup is called a "Tabernacle". This means that the mast can be lowered without the help of expensive lifting equipment. I've installed the bush on the new mast and made a wooden foot out of Iroko so as mentioned, you just need to do the rigging and electrics.

It's classed as a "Trailer Sailor" as has a lifting keel. Apparently they used to race these and when you see the hull it will become clear as to how she'll perform.

This boat is a fantastic blank canvas for the next owner. There is no motor installed but I was going to make an outboard well in the rear cabin.
