We are finalising numbers for the last East Coast Rally of this year. Anyone who hasn't been in touch yet, please call or email asap, please.
Outline plan:
Friday 26th August - Meet at Shotley Marina at the mouth of the River Stour in Harwich Harbour. Food available at the Shipwreck until 2000.
Saturday 27th August - Sail with the tide to the historic wet dock in Ipswich. Time to explore the town and a meal at the Lord Nelson.
Sunday 28th August - An early start to sail to the Walton Backwaters (Arthur Ransome's Secret Water) and take the tide to Walton and Frinton YC and lock into the "Pond". Chance to explore the pier, ice ream, fish and chips or Walton-on-the-Naze and searching for sharks' teeth. Picnic tea.
Monday 29th August - Lock out of the "Pond" and explore the Walton Backwaters before heading home.
