On friday I noticed a bit of water on the chart table.

Then felt the cushion under it and it was quite wet...

I guess it must be rain water and I guess it is coming from the window seal...

But it maybe coming from the port deck clutches, winch etc and running down the inner skin and exiting from the window...

Anyone had a leak before....no funny reponses please.

hi Paul

i used to have a 235 and i had a similar leak which i eventually traced to a screw hole helping to bind the hull to deck [ at level of gunnel ]

it was in the rear cabin and hidden by side carpeting.

water was oozing from a missing screw......had to peel carpet back to reveal source of water.

Bill Parker supplied materials to mend but this was a simple epoxy and glass fibre job once located.

so check the screws along the line of the gunnel [ approx] just in case

another possibility are the shroud plates. again a simple repair

unscrew plates on the deck and reseal with marine sealant

good luck

Thanks for that.....

Can't see it being a shroud plate as it is at the rear end of the port window...a long way from the shrouds...

I need to chuck some buckets of water over it with someone inside...

I am sill suspecting the clutches/winch area.....she has had a spray hood on from new untill the last couple of months..
