At the aft end of the stbd cockpit seat on Pelican (no. 81) there's a small drain hole, which exits through another drain hole into the cockpit sole. When I climbed into the quqrterberth the other day I noticed there's a sealed box underneath the seat and I was just curious to know what this void is for, as the only access seems to be via these drain holes and I can't work out why it's there!

Any thoughts please?

Got the same set up on scimitar (82) a hose connects inlet to outlet on the stbd bench drain, maybe the box was added later to protect the set up getting damaged.
