Does anyone have a fully-battened main on their Parker 21 or 235?

It looks as if this'll be the last season for my 20-year old mainsail, so I'm wondering whether to have full-length battens on the new one.

As I see it, the advantages would be:

1. Easier to handle when stowing (I don't have lazy jacks)

2. Won't flap around so much when depowered.

And the disadvantages:

1. May be more difficult to hoist

What I'm not sure about is whether the sail shape will be better, given that the mast is quite bendy.

I believe that you can't fully de-power a fully battened main sail because it always has shape to it...!
