I didn't fit my Eberspacher, it came with the boat and is an older pattern.

The heating is great, the only problem mine has it that I have to have the engine running to get maximum electrical power for it to start up. Once running the power usage is minimal so switch the engine off.

Does the heating run from its own diesel supply or from your main fuel tank ? I would like to have some sort of heating because it would extend the sleep on board season. A diesel system although expensive seems to be the best option. I'm just a bit wary of fitting it myself but I think tha latest models are a bit easier to fit.

I run mine from the main tank, but because I use little fuel I run on road diesel. I am told the heaters prefer the road diesel, or at least clean fuel.

Have a chat with Peter Lowry, he fitted his and uses a separate tank of road diesel to run it.
