Bukh 20 stalling

Hi all

What would most likely be the reason that my Bukh 20 keeps stalling? It only does it after running for a bit. Once restarted it idles ok.

Does it do it when you throttle back and select neutral? It may be that your idle speed is set a bit too low. If it stops while under way, then it sounds more like an air leak in the fuel pipes. How easily does it re-start? Does it need a bleed through?

It does it when returning to idle, yes, not underway.

Once restarted it idles ok again.

If I knock the throttle back little by little I can get it not to stall but if I return it to idle straight away it is guaranteed it will stall.

Restarting takes about three tries.

Try increasing the idle speed - it sound like your fuel pump rack is a bit sticky at the low speed end. It might be worth trying some fuel cleaner additive, too.
