Hello,

I am trying to remove the propeller shaft from my Seal 28 and need your advice for the best actions.

I cannot remove the shaft from the transom as there is the rudder post is in the way.

And to remove it from the hatch cover at the cockpit, either gearbox or whole engine needs to be taken out.

The question is would it be enough space to take out the shaft if I remove the gearbox only, or is it “engine out” job,

is there any other easy way to take it out?

The engine is Bukh DV20 with ZF BW6 gearbox.

Many thanks in advance,

Dmitry

Managed to get propeller shaft out, had to remove the gearbox, take engine out of the mounts and move it inside the saloon.
