has anyone made the starboard single bunk into a double? I wish to do so and would appreciate any tips. I also have plans for a Cradle that i made last summer for our Seal 28.

I converted the saloon starboard bunk to a double on Aztec. I was surprised it was not done as original and thought I must have the only boat with out a saloon double berth.
I don't have any photos but you may get the idea from a drawing I did see below.
The bunks were made of slats which slid into each other to form the main seat, they were made in 2 halves, to make lifting easier.
The after half was supported on the companion way step and a support bonded onto the keel case, and the forward half was supported by a block on the bulkhead and the support on the keel case.
