We are delighted to invite you to the PSSA Annual General Meeting, to be held this year at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht ClubEastbourne, BN23 5QF

As with previous years, many people will like to make a weekend of it, so here is some additional information to help you plan a social weekend away if you are so inclined.

The weekend: 21st – 23rd February

On Friday 21st evening, for those who have decided to make an extended stay, I suggest we have dinner together at the Glass House – a new restaurant on the seafront.

On Saturday 22nd, we plan

  • A free morning to do as you want – some suggestions of possible activities have been emailed to you
  • An organised afternoon walk around town (maximum 25 people) – time to follow
  • A tentative petanque / boules game – weather permitting
  • Evening dinner together at Morgans Restaurant and Bistro BN21 4LU.  This is a small Italian restaurant, for a maximum of 40 people.  I have provisionally reserved the whole restaurant for us from 7:30pm. Note: The restaurant requires us to ask you for £5 deposit per person.

The PSSA is the class association for Parker and Seal lift keel yachts and other types of shallow draft yachts.
As an active, friendly club with almost 350 members, it organises rallies, social events and an annual race around the Isle of Wight.
Seals and Parkers are British-built yachts, ranging in length from 21' to 33', mostly with lifting keels. They started with the Seal 22 in 1970, built by John Baker, and followed by the Seal 28 and Super Seal 26. In 1981, Bill Parker took over the range and added the Parker 21, Parker 27 and Parker 31. These then evolved into a high-quality range of cruiser-racers built by Parker Lift-Keel Yachts - the trailable Parker 235, the Parker 285 and the Parker 335. In 2009, Parker Lift-Keel yachts ceased trading.
