Description:

AGM Sunday 22nd February 2026

Next year we will hold our AGM at the clubhouse of the Cruising Association in Limehouse, at the heart of London’s Docklands.

The Cruising Association overlooks Limehouse Basin and is a five-minute walk from Limehouse DLR station which makes it easily accessible by public transport. There is also ample street

parking nearby which is free on a Sunday.

Coffee will be served from 1030 with the AGM starting at 1100, followed by lunch.

Limehouse is also a great destination for a weekend away with lots to see and do and fabulous riverside walks. We’ll arrange some activities for Saturday, including dinner in a local pub or restaurant on Friday and Saturday nights, but of course you’re free to enjoy whatever side of London you wish: the West End is only half an hour away.

It would be very helpful for planning to get an idea of numbers so please could you register above as soon as possible if you intend to come – no commitment at this stage!

Thanks

Peter

Some hotel suggestions

All are less than 10 minutes’ walk, in order of distance from the CA. Prices are indicative only and vary from one website to another. Please note we haven’t inspected any of these and don’t recommend one or another!

The Royal Foundation of St Katharine https://www.rfsk.org.uk/

Britain’s oldest charitable trust now offers stylish bed and breakfast from £97. NB with apologies: the 10% discount mentioned in the newsletter only applies for CA members.

Holiday Inn Express https://tinyurl.com/57ube7t3

Reliable chain of no-frills hotels. Rooms currently from £136 but they vary day to day.

Limehouse Library Hotel https://limehousehotel.com/

Small boutique hotel in a famous East London library. Very cool rooms from £129 but don’t expect these prices to last.

Premier Inn Canary Wharf https://tinyurl.com/4kjs7w93

A few minutes further but currently the lowest price from £84 excluding breakfast.

The PSSA is the class association for Parker and Seal lift keel yachts and other types of shallow draft yachts.
As an active, friendly club with almost 350 members, it organises rallies, social events and an annual race around the Isle of Wight.
Seals and Parkers are British-built yachts, ranging in length from 21' to 33', mostly with lifting keels. They started with the Seal 22 in 1970, built by John Baker, and followed by the Seal 28 and Super Seal 26. In 1981, Bill Parker took over the range and added the Parker 21, Parker 27 and Parker 31. These then evolved into a high-quality range of cruiser-racers built by Parker Lift-Keel Yachts - the trailable Parker 235, the Parker 285 and the Parker 335. In 2009, Parker Lift-Keel yachts ceased trading.
