Excursions to visit Hurst Castle (Yes thats the one that lost half of the east wing recently to the sea!!) can be taken by ferry or by foot along the shingle spit
Options for overnight
Beaching, alongside quay (drying) or mooring buoy, The picture shows the area for drying out alongside the quay
For those who have not been to Keyhaven before, there are two anchorages (marked on chart) where you can wait for the tide.
Enter on a rising tide and follow the buoyed channel as far as you can go the quay and the beaching areas are on all sides of the quay See Image. This is a boat launching are so try to keep close to the quay to allow boats to launch
If you are coming by road there is a large car park close to the quay
