BBQ East Head Beach ,Chichester Harbour. Low Water 1230hrs.

The tides this weekend are not very accomodationg for our normal drying out at East Head, however this is a great place for a BBQ and a sand castle competition.

Details below.

Saturday 26th August
Arrive approx 1400hrs (no earlier) on a rising tide, run the boat up the beach with a stern kedge ready to deploy, once you are aground drop kedge with plenty of line, then walk main anchor up the beach, once the tide comes in the boat will be anchored fore and aft.
Bring chairs bbq etc up beach for mid afternoon bbq and drinks.
Dinghies/ paddleboards/Kayaks etc will be required to return to boats as HW is 1900hrs. if you dont have a dinghy availabe i am sure there will be plenty to share.
2 Choices for overnight, stay where you are until morning tide or move out to deeper water.

Sunday 27th August.

HW 0800hrs
Early departure from Chichester and carry the Ebb tide west
We are booked on the Mid river pontoons at the Folly Inn arrive after 1400hrs

I have booked 20 places at the Folly Inn pub,
They have revamped the place with a new landlady and team.
Wth a late booking i have been asked to confirm exact numbers by Wed evening so pls let me know if you wish to be part of the 20 for dinner.
