Late Last season, the jamb cleat for holding the jib furler started slipping in strong winds (F5-6). I have started tying the end round the stanchion as a temporary measure, but would like something a bit more secure. Has anyone any suggestions/ had a similar problem?
It maybe the rope is a bit worn, but still think it ought not to happen. Other than fitting a rope jamber (expensive!), I haven't really seen anything that grabs me as much as I want it to grab the rope.
