The Newport Jazz Weekend  is now in it’s 3rd successful year. Based in Newport (Isle of Wight!), all the venues are within 10 minutes walk of Newport Harbour, some are adjacent to the Quay itself.

"Located at the head of the River Medina, Newport Harbour is a journey back in time, and all the better for it. The harbour is close to the centre of Newport, county town of the Isle of Wight, which has a broad range of facilities including shops, chemists, and restaurants."

Newport Harbour is (allegedly) run by the Isle of Wight Council, not that they seem to know what to do with it! Here’s all they have to say!

Last year saw a couple of PSSA members moored up and enjoying the excellent range of top quality music from nationally and internationally recognised musicians. Have a look at the web site , and browse the artistes pages to see what takes your fancy!

Ticket sales are going well, with only a week left to take advantage of the Early Bird discounts.
You can book on-line  or by post (and on the door of course!)

This is a pop-up Rally! but I’m happy to co-ordinate with the Harbour Master Wayne Pritchett, who is very helpful, if sufficient boats show interest. I might even move Nosey down from Island Harbour to save the walk back home.

Hoping you can make it,
