To all our lovely, long term friends and sailors,
Mr & Mrs Sunflower 🌻 have made the most heart wrenching decision of our lives and that is that after 20 + years of being members of the amazing PSSA, we are hanging up our sails.
Thank you all for allowing us to take with us so many happy and treasured memories. It’s been a pleasure being a part of the PSSA.
Altogether we have been sailing for 30 years, almost two thirds of our marriage. What a huge part you’ve all played in our lives!😊 We will miss you all dreadfully. So with that in mind, you know where we live, so pick up the phone and tell us that you are coming to stay for a few days or longer.😊
We will continue to be ‘No Boat’ members and will attend non boat functions and when possible, we will drive to visit you as landlubbers on some of your rallies.
We have just purchased a new caravan which won’t be as exciting as owning Sunflower 🌻 but hopefully it will go some way to filling the impending huge gap in our future lives.
God bless you all.Y

Salut crew tournesol! It’s a tough decision to make but you did it. I shall miss your company in port, at sea and in the yard but it will be great if you can attend rallies by car from time to time. I hope all goes well with your alternative outdoor life and that we all get a decent summer each year. A bientôt!

Farewell Sunflower,
We shall miss meeting up and are so grateful for the welcome you gave us and the sail across the Solent to the RVYC. It was a lovely introduction to our boats.
Of course, we shall also remember that ill-fated Wayfarer cruise from the RHYC where Anne strained her back climbing into the boat and we became absent leaders, driving to the Walton Backwaters.
Enjoy your caravan and we are sure that you will enjoy exploring in the same way as have in boats and hopefully, drier.
Best wishes to you both,
Dennis and Anne
