OK I could have got to Cowes today in double-quick time and Saturday might not be quite as fierce as it is now but I really didn't fancy the 40 mile beat back to Christchurch in the forecast rain and SW6/7 only to have to sit on the hook outside in the breakers to wait for the water to come back.

So I've chickened out - I am after all a very little boat!

Brian, my crew (S/289 Manana) drove all the way down from Sheringham for the race and is now on his way back!

Hope some of the more easterly customers make it and not too much gear/people get broken!

We didn't chicken out.......

We drove the 215 miles......

I'm sure someone will post the full details.....

Is there a trophy for the ONLY boat to sail on the afternoon ( not evening ) of the race ???
