Does anyone know where the set screws retaining the cutlass bearing on the 335 are?

I assume they are either side at the aft end of the stern tube but I thought I would ask if anyone knows any more detail before I go digging for them under the antifouling.

hi martin,

the retaining screw on my parker 335 are as you say on the aft end of the stern tube.

mine had just one grub screwed into or placed into a resin stern tube, a more traditional brass stern tube can be threaded so is stronger.

my grub screw just fell out when I wagled it so I drilled slightly into the brass of the cutless bearing (flat bottom drill) the same size as the grub screw and epoxy'd the grub screw into it. Seems to have stayed in and as I flat bottomed the hole it should be doing something to hold in the cutless bearing. you could do this both sides.

just thought I would share that incase it helps you out.

I put a stainless jubilee clip around the stern tube over the grub screws. Seems to work!
