Hi all,

I have read the other post on the forum re anchor, chain and Rode on the SS26 and it looks like everyone has their preference. This is a new boat to me and I would like to ask the more seasoned Superseal owners what they have in their lockers. I at present have Britany anchor, 15 ft of chain and 130ft of rode. I feel that the chain length is slightly too short for the length of boat.

Hello

It also depends where you want to anchor. In mud what you have seems absolutely fine to me and should be good in sand too.

But I have doubts about the brittany anchor, does it reset well?

Thanks for your reply,

My concern is the anchor too, what do other ss26 have?

I have a Bruce (I don't know the size but I could check around mid-February if you are interested) and there is only one specific way to make it fit.

Check the recent thread in this ss26 section on anchor damage too: anchor damage prevention ss26

Hi Bryan,

My Bruce anchor is 7.5kg.

I haven't thought about it but I now realised that I could also take a picture to show the only way to make it fit if you want.

All the best,

Arthur

Hi Arthur,

That would be good, I need to replace the chain and rode so looking at it as a whole it would help.

Kind Regards

Bryan
