Been thinking about having the antifoul removed because the annual layers are building up and I've been advised to remove them and start again. I'm thinking of applying Copper Coat (or a similar product).

Has any one any experience of using this stuff?

My boat is on a mud pontoon berth and is afloat roughly 6 hours in every 12. Are there any issues regarding Copper Coat and sitting on mud?

Is it worth the money?

How easy is it to remove from the hull at it's end of life?

Any one with any knowledge of these products, be most grateful to your comments?

Thanks Stuart (Pegasus 325/37)

Thanks Stephen,

Had a look, seems applying it when the air temp is below 10C or too damp is an issue.

Has anyone tried to remove it?

Hi Stewart.
I Have Copper Coat On My P-27.Grey Seal,I Applied It About Four Years Ago.I Also Keep My Boat On A Mud Mooring Where It Sits On The Mud At Low Springs And In Strong Westerlies.I Have Had Very Poor Results With Large Amounts Of Fouling From Barnacles.I Usually Have To Clean Bottom Mid Season.I Spoke To Suppliers And They Suggested a Light Sanding Before Putting Boat In Water Each Year,I Tried This Without Success,Next Season I Will Re coat With Anti fouling.
