This may be a silly question, but...it seems to me that the chart table on the Parker 275 is hollow to allow for storage of charts inside it. The problem is that I don't see any way to use or gain access to this space. Has anyone attempted to ? Cheers-Ken

Ken

I'm sure every Parker 275 owner thinks this until he/she examines the chart table. Don't be mislead, the chart table is not a large as you think. The top of the Chart table is longer than the bottom. If it was not so it would not fold away in the way it does.

The storage of charts is a problem. I have solved it by drilling four holes near the edge of the chart table, two in the risen edge nearest you and two at the top. I have then inserted two pieces of bungy between the holes on either side. In this way you can hold either the chart you are using, or, as I do, two folios of small craft charts with the one in use on the top. The bungy holds these in place as you fold the table away.

Hope this helps.
