Hi everyone! Just to introduce ourselves, we have just ordered a 235, boat number 51, for delivery in January 2007.

What a pleasant and helpful bunch you all are! I enquired about a few secondhand 235's, (Kinkajou and Gentoo) all sold by the time I enquired, but I got considerable help from Graham Keating, for which I am very grateful. I also went to look at "Sunflower" which is a fabulous boat with many extras, and the owners Michael and Jenny were extremely helpful and lovely people - it is a good buy for someone!

Nevertheless we've decided on new, as we'd rather spend the capital now and delay running repair costs for as long as possible into the future! We have a swinging mooring in Tobermory, having moved here from Lincolnshire two years ago.

Any advice regarding final specification most welcome!

Kind regards

Stephen & Berenice Godber

Well I bought "Sunflower" from Michael and Jenny last week.

Yes it is a lovely boat and I am frustrated that she is sitting in my field and I can't sail her - too cold!

She will be renamed "Ocean Harmony" after my Barbershop Chorus in Southampton (www.oceanharmony.co.uk - thats me in the flashy jackets!) because Michael and Jenny wanted to keep the name - so you will see a bigger and newer Sunflower on the water next year - and look out for "Ocean Harmony"

Happy sailing in 2007!

Cheers

It's never to cold to sail a 235.....I have been 4 times in the last 2 weeks..

But I am sailing it on Rutland water.

Good luck with your new boat..

Hi Laurence! Well done buying Sunflower - Micahel had added some great innovations, including lightning conductors (but not orchestra conductors!). Funnily enough I thought Jenny asked me to keep the name if I bought it, I must have mis-understood that THEY wanted to keep the name! Anyway, have fun in Ocean Harmony - our new one is now half built, and will be called Exodus (escape to freedom!).
