I had my Seal 850 dismasted for winter to enable the rigging to be inspected and for running rigging to be replaced. Soon the mast will be put back and the practice of the yachting company is to leave the rigging wire 'loose' so that final tensioning can be made by the owner.

The wire seems to be mostly 6mm dia. What are the recommended tension settings for the various wires? If any?

Hello David
I think I read that for cruising set up the tension to 10% of the breaking strain, and for racing set it to 15%.
Below are a couple of links which Google came up with.

Word of warning, don't over tighten the rigging on an old mast. My mast collapsed after tightening my rigging. It buckled about 4 feet above the gooseneck. It was described as a compression fracture.
