My replacement majic furl and gennaker has now arrived, we set it today for the first time, looks as if it could be very useful in light winds and sets with wind much further foward than I expected. It also furled well.
For the pole I had a plate with loop made to fit on the bow (we broke that today, so a stronger one will be fabricated this winter) and a 'u' bolt further back. A length of thick aluminium tube acts as pole.
