Hi all,

I was wondering if any of you might have a copy of a 1981/82 members handbook that might have Seal no. 384 now called "Melissa" listed, and possibly her first owner? I am really only wanting to know if she was always called "Melissa", and if she was, why?

Best, Ray.

Originally called "Sachi" and owned by J James in Southampton. Then D Smith in Faringdon, Oxon, then T Martell in Chichester, then J Ledger in Wareham. It was T Martell who changed the name to Melissa when he joined in 2004.

Hi Geoff,

Very many thanks for taking the time to dig up that lot! One of the blessings of joining the Association. I quite like "Sachi", I will have to do a bit of Googeling to see what I can find out?

Once again, very many thanks.

Ray.
