Just found that the engine cooling water sea cock has failed - the end of the stem that turns the ball has disappeared. The skin fitting seems quite good, but there are some small signs of de-zincification on the external threads. The valve body and ball seem ok, but the stem gland nut shows some de-zincification. I have some photos if I can find out how to post them.

I'm thinking of installing a plastic valve as a replacement.
