Charles - I'm no expert but I do this:
From your photobucket photo:
Highlight jpg box
Click on IMG code (turns blue), then right mouse it to produce menu
Select Copy
Minimize Photobucket out of way, go into Forum
In whatever post you are in, select Insert Image from icons by format
This produces two bracketed areas, put mouse pointer between them
Right mouse button again, and then select Paste
This shows photo as gobbeldygook, but when Preview it shows the photo.
I doubt this helps but I follow it word for word each time and it works!
