My new craft came fitted with a NASA weatherman radio telex, which receives information from a German station, mainly in German. There seems to be lots of info, but none local to south UK. Has anyone any knowledge of this kit and is it worth keeping, unless I am going ocean sailing?

The manual is here: http://www.nasamarine.com/Navtex/images/weatherman.PDF

According to that, it has areas English Channel E, Lyme Bay and Channel W (all in N Atlantic group), so should be some use. And you should be able to get it in English if you select the right frequency

I don´t have special knowledge of that kit, but if you cannot use it - maybe I could!

I have the instructions and I think I am using it correctly, but most of the time I get rubbish.
I will play for this season and maybe send to Germany in the winter!
Has anyone got one that works?
