I have also found many good places.

I would suggest a section where not only marinas, but anchorages, quays, etc could be included. This could also include eateries, for evening, and breakfast (my favourite).

Sounds a good idea. I haven't yet found a really unpleasant place in the Solent!

Anchoring in the Thorney channel was very pleasant the other day - somewhere I had not stayed for any length of time.
