Has anyone heard any rumours for the future of Parkers boats, has any builder shown an interest in producing them.

Having had dinner with Bill last week I think I can now confirm that Parker Boats as was will not reappear, and neither will that name as a company.

The 335 and 285 moulds have been sold but if the new owner ever decides to do anything with them remains to be seen.

Bruce Parker has now set up a new company under the logo BPS (for Bruce Parker Sailboats) and is currently building Squibs and Sandhoppers - as he has done for a number of years. I may be developing a new web site for him shortly.

Bill Parker has not sold the Parker 235 moulds and, possibly, Bruce may begin building them again, depending on the success of his business venture. The Parkers also have a large amount of assets for this boat (incidently - Bill would be happy to supply any 235 owners needing spares). It's a matter of 'Watch This Space'.

Bill will be placing notices in some of the sailing mags to this effect shortly.

It's a local company near Boston - but there is little hope of them ever using the moulds.
