The hatch on my Seal 22 no 119 is very corroded and i would like to replace it but cannot find one to fit the existing fixings and size. Does anybody know where I can find a replacement?

Hi Trevor, Our Seal 22 Mk.3 (249 Moonspinner) has a Houdini hatch fitted. Its one of their small ones about 450mm or so square, and it works a treat. They are widely available (they have alloy bars on top to protect the glass). I have seen one or two other "22's" with these hatches but have never had a close look at one without - so cant say for sure whether any other work was required to enable it to be fitted. Let me know if you want me to measure it all up on our boat....

Greg,
Thanks for this. I have bought a Houdini Mini hatch to try but the radius of the edges look different. Will match tomorrow,
Trevor

My Seal 22 Mk II has a 'rhomboid' forehatch - 850mm across the top, 650mm at the bottom - which has been sealed shut (screws and sealant). I've not seen anything similar to replace it. Any ideas?
