My Z spar mast vintage 1987 has a cracked spreader root fitting and Z spars cannot provide a spare. The part number is 1025 and they seem to be identical for port and starboard.

Does anybody have a spare or know where I might get one? Alternatively can one repair/weld these castings?

Incidentally the main halyard sheave has also failed but that was easily replaced, but in unstepping the mast his other problem has come to light.

Had a similar problem with exacttly the same set up, Z spars tried their best but could not match it, however my local rigging services chap had loads of old spreaders numerous of which were the same as mine, so i suggest it may be worth while ringing your local riggers as they may also have the same.

I have a couple of these:


They're from a ZSpar Z190 and measure 100mm long, 48mm wide. The spreader section is 20mm x 28mm approx. I can't identify the part number.
