Dear Forum

Having been been a dinghy sailor all my life I have decided to try to keep myself a little dryer and go for the bigger boat.

I have been looking at the sailing mags for years and am drawn to the Trailer Sailers/Trailer-able Sailers, particularly the boats on your site. You seem such a chatty/happy lot. If there was a boat that I could view to discuss its merits (or not), before I embark on looking seriously into buying one myself, then I would be much obliged. I live in the Eastbourne area, East Sussex.

I am due a spot of neurosurgery soon so will probably not be available until the summer, but it would give me something to look forward too instead of worrying about what lies ahead - slightly rocky/lee shores.

Kind regards

Lindsay

Hi Lindsay,

Well I don't live at your end of the country, and I am a newbie myself as regards the Seal 22 that I have recently bought. Still, you are welcome to ask anything you like and I will do my best to provide an answer. I am hoping to get her in the water mid April, so might be better placed to answer questions about her sailing abilities after then.

In the meantime, have a look here...

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smallsailboatclub/

We are a small group but very friendly, and we hold a very large database of small sail boats in our files section, and there is a great deal of experience within our group membership for you to tap into should you wish.

I wish you all the best for your forthcoming surgery, it must be a little worrying I know, but maybe we can help lighten your load a little should you decide to join us?[:)]

Best, Ray.
