"Skipper" is now used to jumping up the companion way into the cockpit, unfortunately on one occasion we had put the hatch in place...he heard a noise out on deck and went flying into action only to come bouncing back off the hatchway[xx(] fortunately he was not hurt[B)]to much. We now have go faster stripes which don't actually look to bad...quite snazzy in fact[:)]

Hi Gary,

I noticed that you have a pair of cam cleats on your cabin roof for jib sheets I presume. Are they bolted or screwed and do you have any backing plates bonded to the roof?
I want to do something similar and wondered if the cleats needed to be local to winches so that I can remove winch access panel for drilling holes?

Hi Brian,
They were already afixed when we aquired the boat, I assumed they were standard, they certainly make tacking easy. When I am next at the boat I will take a close look and see how they are fixed and let you know.

Brian I have now had a good look at how the cam cleats are fixed

They are manufactured by Harken and are screwed down and bedded on what looks like epoxy...there are no backing plates.
