Does anyone have a different arrangement than this for reefing the headsail? I manage ok with it but feel as though it could be improved. Ignore the plastic line, its the tackle set up that I feel could be rigged differently with something more fixed.

Hi Gary and Ruth,

My arrangement is identical.

I also have a turning block about 2ft forward of your stanchion, which I can’t see it on yours. I tried this last year, used in conjunction with the winch. Made it easy, but no better than the former arrangement, so reverted back.

Thanks John, I will let you know if I come up with anything better than the current arrangement.

Hi Gary & Ruth

I have a similar setup mounted one stanchion up with the bottom of the block fitted to the stanchion base and the top fixed over the guard wire and stanchion top with suitable size rope. This way is does less damage to the gel coat and feeds into the cockpit better.

Regards
Andrew
