Hi all,

Though a member of the association for a couple of years this is my first post- I think!.

I am in the fortunate position of owning two Seal 22's- it is a long story- Mair (formally Anna of Islay, but having her number obscured), currently under refit and KaZaa (number 89) which I refurbished over the last 2 years. Having read the previous responses to history queries I was wondering if any of you folk knew the previous histories of either boat.

For your information both boats are sailed on Lough Erne, County Fermanagh in the North West of Ireland.

Regards

David

I can't find any record of Mair, Anna of Islay or Kazaa and we have number 89 as originally Hoy of Poole owned by a chap in Halesowen and lately Hannah Snell but still sailing out of Poole.

Pictures of characteristic features such as cabin windows outboard or inboard motor installations might help to narrow down the possibilities.

Further to yesterday's post, I've now found the index card for 22/89 which had got out of order!

Previous owners have been D Jolly of Poole who called her Hannah Snell, then D Simmons (Amaryllis III), L Cowan (Atalanta in 2004). She had a Dolphin 12 inboard engine when she was Amaryllis III.

Geoff,

Many thanks for the information, Mair's sails with her number are currently being repaired. Once they return I will post her number.

Again, many thanks

Having now had my sails returned- Mair (formally Anna of Islay) has a sail number of 84- do you have any information on her history Geoff?

22 number 84 was originally owned by founder member Harry Wyatt and called Ariel of Wick sailing from Christchurch (where he still sails 27/155). Since then she has been called Tumbleweed and Anna of Islay and sailed from the Medway, Chichester, Ullswater and the Bristol,Channel!
