We're getting a lot of background noise on our VHF radio when there's an incoming transmission, to the extent that it's virtually impossible to hear what anyone's saying, with the exception of the coastguard. The most likely cause is the aerial - but we did have that checked at the beginning of the season, so we're resigned to it being more serious than that! Can anyone recommend a good specialist in VHF installations in the Solent area that we could commission to check it out?
