Hi,
I am considering an old Seal 28 but she has no engine nor bed to mount one on. Can anyone tell me what the engine bed should look like?
Thanks,

My boat (an early one) has a substantial wooden beam down each side of the engine compartment. A piece of steel angle bar is bolted to the inward side of each beam. These angles carry the engine mounts. My boat has a Bukh DV20.

The Bukh DV20.was the standard engine
I and various others have fitted Beta 20 or 25.
I fitted my engine on steel angle bolted through the timber beam like Neil suggested
then engine mount fitted to that.
Lot easier getting new beta in than getting old Bukh 20 out
