The 2016 plan for Chichester is as follows :-

This is a short rally with the intention of travelling on to Littlehampton on Sunday. Unfortunately Sparkes Marina is full up so if the weather is OK we can anchor near the beach at East Head on Saturday pm and use tenders to barbecue in the evening as the tide will be in. If too inclement we can go up to Northney Marina  which will allow easy entry at any state of the tide. We can walk over the bridge to the Ship Inn  for an evening meal given this scenario.

On Sunday we will need to leave in time to catch the east going tide to get to Littlehampton. This will start at about 1045 at Chichester Bar

Look forward to seeing you and let’s hope we get some good weather. Please let me know if you are attending.

Hi All

This is to update you on the Chichester rally. Given the forecast I think it would be preferable to be in a marina for Saturday evening. I have 7 spaces at Northney marina and so far 7 boats. I have a backup with some spaces available at Emsworth marina (this is a 5 km walk round to Northney – so might need a taxi).

Having discussed options for eating the plan is to eat on board in the marina with a possibility of moving around and sharing puds etc. We will play this by ear. For those wanting a hotel or pub meal that option is still open at the Langstone hotel or the Ship Inn but I won’t be prebooking anything.

Important first meeting will be for drinks hosted on Speedwell in the marina at around 1800 ish.

Boats attending so far :

Abacus

Altair (probably at anchor)

Delphine

Frith

Lady J (coming by car)

Ruby Star

Sea Lady

Sophia

Speedwell

PS I can't stop the forum referring to me as Commodore. I am not any more!
