Hi

I wonder if anybody has any information

Parker 335

Some water in the well beneath the drive shaft, after motoring and sailing for a few hours. What are the possible possible causes

If a leak in the seal, how expensive to replace the drive seal

Cup of water in the engine compartment after running for 1 hour, any ideas

Regards

Hi Barry
Join the club.
The two leaks are probably not related , I have been chasing a leak as you describe under the propshaft and at the moment do not have a confirmed solution, what shaft seal do you have ?
As for the engine compartment , is the water, coolant or salt water ?
If salt water check seawater pump connections if coolant check the connections to to calorifier.
Which engine do you have ? You may need to get a good light on the engine whilst it is running and look for drips, careful with your fingers.
Yanmar rubber seems to creep so the hose clips need tightening every year a bit .
