Berths have been reserved in the marina for the Saturday night at the discounted rally rate.

We have reserved BBQs for the Saturday evening and will provide the charcoal but you will need to bring something to cook. We will also provide salad and French bread to accompany your gourmet cooking! Please also bring your own cutlery/plates/cooking implements & drinks.

You might remember that Jim Crick (P21 Talulah) gave a presentation at the AGM about the RNLI's free safety checks (p4 of N/L Issue 2018-1). Jim and an RNLI team have subsequently agreed to attend IH on the Saturday afternoon to provide free advice and checks on lifejackets (to ensure they will inflate if needed!). The RNLI will also bring literature, lifejacket parts, dummy EPIRBS, and PLBs. Safety checks on members' boats may be possible but, if not, the RNLI should be able to arrange visits to home berths. As Jim has pointed out, there is no exact precedence for this format so it will be interesting to see how this is received by members.

Please let us know your intentions by email to p_dgray@btinternet.com or by text to 07789-405624. We require info as follows: boat name, class, number in party for catering, and arrival date. Info needed by 3rd August so that IH can allocate berths for us. If you don’t let us know by that date we can’t guarantee that there will be any free berths because they do get very busy mid-summer.

Just been informed that Island Harbour are already fully booked for Sat 11th Aug and they would therefore like to know ASAP whether we are going to take up our full allocation of 20 berths.

Currently have Indianna, Barnacle, Talulah, Sunflower, Zephyr, Sophia, Shiraz, and Rascal booked, i.e. 8 boats.

It would be unreasonable to keep our allocation of 20 berths if we only need 8.

We therefore intend to close the list by end-of-play on Tues 31st July and hand back any over-allocation to IH on 1st Aug.

Availability of additional berths after that date cannot therefore be guaranteed.

Please therefore get in touch soonest if you would like to join us at this very popular venue.
