Looking for guidance on winch maintenance for a Seal Mk2
I have read the Parker Manual but no mention of winches.
One of the winches on the side has gotten very stiff.
Regards
Dan

The winches on your 22 are simple single speed.
They should be easy to strip down, clean and re-assemble, grease the bearings and oil the pawls and springs.
I always did/do mine when the boat is out of the water, in case I drop something!

Thanks for Replying Philip
How do you actually strip them ?
Where's the starting point.

It's been a long while, but I think there is a circlip in the head of the winch which when removed allows the body to be lifted off.
This will give access to the insides.
If anyone has more up to date or accurate advice please jump in.
