I currently have a Seal 28 , Cornish Chough, with a Bukh Dv 20 engine, which is now beyond economical repair and needs replacing. I am considering replacing with a smaller engine as I will only be using the boat on inland waters (The Broads). What is the smallest engine I can install and any recommendations. I believe Yanmar are a good alternative.

I have a seal 28 with a Volvo Penta MD7B (Diesel Twin). It’s being pulled out to replace with an electric Pod drive. Let me know if you’re interested. It will come with gearbox, fuel tank, exhaust, prop shaft, propeller EVERYTHING. ! 🙂
