Hello

So I have bought my P21/41 Shadowfax and brought her home, she’s been a little neglected it seems the last few years which has led to some water ingress. I’m currently trying to dry her out in-between downpours.

The surveyor said everything was solid, now I’ve had a right good look it appears not!

Has anyone had any experience with replacing the shelves, specifically the bottoms? The faces seem easy enough. My main query is, how are they attached to the hull? The look glued then painted onto an inch or two of fibreglass??

The “new” Houdini hatch also appears to be leaking a little! (It was replaced in the last few years) I’m hoping this is going to be an unscrew and reseal job!

The windows I will be replacing over the next week or two with new windows secured with scapa tape and screws.

My plan is as follows:

1) Seal her up (windows and hatch)

2) clean everything.

3) replace rotten shelving.

4) in the water. (Windermere this year)

Next year I think I’ll need to drop the keel, sand blast, epoxy and look to replace the rollers why I’m at it.

Thankyou in advance

James
