All,
I have received a letter from Bill confirming the closure and thanking the Assocation members for their past support. On behalf of all members, I have replied to express our appreciation of the many good things that the whole Parker team has done for us over the years, and to hope that Bill's team either finds comfort in retirement or quickly finds alternative employment where their craftsman ship can be equally appreciated. Your Committee will make plans to help Bill retire with a well deserved smile on his face. More on that later.
Clearly there are many questions at the moment. Until we find answers I will hold back on speculation. I have written to Bill asking that the Association be put in contact with the administrators. If the business is not rescued as a going concern, the PSSA will attempt to acquire and house any useful equipment that will help members continue to service and maintain their yachts.
Meanwhile, our thoughts go out to Bill's team, including Bruce, who have been made redundant. These are difficult times indeed.
