Does anyone know the dimension of the standard alternator belt for the 1GM10 , I am looking for an autombile equivalent V belt.

If you simply want a spare I have one on my boat in Woodbridge.

It will be surplus to requirements soon as I am re-engining. I could chuck it under your sprayhood on "Bright Eyes" when I am up on Friday if that would help?

That would be great, many thanks . Am coming up to Woodbridge this Sunday to replace the std alternator and want to put a correct belt on whist I am about it. Will also be doing general tidy. Where is your boat now ? What engine are you fitting ? the 2GM20 on the
31 seems to be a good motor.

Will do.

Fitting the Nanni 14, recommended by Peter Norris. Its a long story starting with a leaking shaft seal....moving on to apparently flat batteries and ending with a knackered starter motor..all spread over about 5 weeks.

Boat at Larkmans at present, as Peter, who is itinerant, cannot work (at reasonable cost)at the other place!

Many thanks for the alternator belt . Std alternator is now fitted and the engine is much happier.
