I read the towing weight post earlier with much interest. We are currently replacing our car with a view to eventually get a trailer yacht with the Parker 235 being top of the list. Consequently towing weight now features highly. (We've previously owned (in NZ) a Noelex 25 and launched this with a Mitsubishi Legnum (the Gallant estate). The 4wd made a big difference on the local slipway which wasn't regularly cleaned and had a small step at low water.)

The current car contenders are:

- Honda CR-V

- Mitsubishi Outlander

- Hyundai ix35

- Skoda Superb

So in short a couple of questions:

- Has anyone got boat launch experience with any of these cars?

- Does anyone have a Parker 235 on the solent, we can potentially come out on a day sail with?

It's a slow burn project, but one I'm not giving up on :-)
